The Electronic Building Identity (EID) or independent shared property (apartment, warehouse, parking space, etc.) is an electronic file that includes, from the date of construction until today, all the elements of the building - property.
The competent organization for the creation and storage of this electronic file is the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), which must immediately make the above information available to all interested parties, in order to be informed of any changes in ownership.
With the electronic identity, it is possible to control, record and update the existing state of the building or the divided property (if it has been modified in relation to the original building permit or subsequent act of legalization). In the event that, during the control, any form of change - arbitrariness - is found, legalization should first be done and then the electronic identity of the property should be issued.
The Building / Divided Property Electronic Identity is now necessary in every deed during life, including the donation due to death, which is drawn up after the publication of Law 4495/2017 and has as its object the transfer or creation of a real right to real property, including real estate without building.
